For about the past month I have been very obsessed with making shorts. Maybe it's the perfect summer Seattle has been having or the fact that these are so easy to make. The pattern is from Grainline Studio's Lakeside Pajamas with added pom poms for a little flare. Right now I'm at 4 pairs but one (a replica of the tie dye shorts) tore down the butt after a 3 day camping trip. I blame it on the fabric being probably about 20 years old and originally sheets.
I re-used the pom poms off the torn shorts for this pair and sadly one of the little guys fell off during the camping trip.
These guys were made with the cutest vintage fabric which I think is dinosaurs holding flowers but Beth claims it's a dog. I like the idea of dinosaurs better though.
The last are a vintage linen fabric that is so soft and comfy. No camping with this pair though they're way too white to handle it.
Four shorts down and I probably only spent 5 bucks on each one. They're a great way to use up old fabric laying around, all I bought was the bias tape, elastic, and pom pom edging.
Don't worry more shorts are on their way. I'm working on my own pattern we'll see how it goes.
