Since Seattle banned the use of plastic bags we have had a battle at our house about how to save the precious plastic bags that are reusable as garbage bags vs the general plastic that is just recyclable. Silly but true. Beth has seen bag storage bags like this around for years but just got around to figuring out how to make one for us. She searched through the kitchen linens and decided to use this hand printed towel that was purchased from who knows where several years ago. Printed on the bottom is Kauwista Finland "Maatila" Matti Piikujamsa. It's a lovely linen and cotton that looks great in our kitchen. With the addition of a piece of hemp webbing, some elastic and about 20 minutes at the sewing machine the problem is solved. Now there will be no more discussion about who put the bad plastic in with the good plastic and why.
