We have been looking for a bar cart for a while. All of the liquor has been stored in a cabinet above the cook top that requires pulling out the stepping stool and then (for Beth, anyway) standing on the cook top. Gary wanted an enclosed cabinet for less dusting, I just wanted to make a drink without climbing. We looked around for quite a while at all of the local thrift stores, used and new furniture stores before stumbling upon this stereo cabinet through a Craig's List ad. We have a lot of mid-century/Danish modern furniture and both loved this piece. When we had it in our basement Gary worked his power tool and elbow grease magic. Using some drawers reclaimed from an old refrigerator he was able to make this a functioning storage cabinet. There is even room to store a few games in the bottom. A few applications of furniture oil and it is shining and smelling good. So much wood in the dining room. I am looking forward to making sure it is well stocked. Next shopping adventure? Ice Bucket.
